China Communications Construction Road and Bridge Co., Ltd. has completed the Huayang Road Interchange Project in Shunde, Foshan.
Recently, the Huayang Road Interchange Project in Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, undertaken by CCCC Road Construction, was successfully completed. This project further improves the urban backbone road network in the Sanlongwan area of Foshan City and strengthens the interconnection between Shunde, Chancheng, and Nanhai areas.

The Huayang Road Interchange Project is located in the core area of Shunde District, Foshan City, with a total route length of approximately 3.439 kilometers. It starts from the approach road at the Huayang Bridge and ends at the intersection of Fuchen Road and Huayang Road. It is a key municipal transportation upgrade and renovation project in the region. The main construction content includes two mainline bridges, one ramp bridge, one widened existing bridge, and one underpass tunnel.
The project faced multiple construction challenges such as heavy traffic flow, deep soft soil foundation pits, high scaffolding spanning roads, and steel box girder hoisting across rivers. The project team implemented systematic measures, advancing traffic diversion in four stages, guiding traffic flow through a micro-circulation road network to ensure uninterrupted intersection traffic. Deep foundation pits were excavated in sections with strict adherence to the principle of supporting first and excavating later, with full monitoring to safeguard surrounding buildings. Portal scaffolding was set up for the auxiliary road sections to ensure traffic flow, and the hoisting and welding of steel box girder segments were precisely controlled throughout. Green measures such as enclosure spraying and watering for dust suppression were adopted to minimize environmental impact.
